The new Aston Martin Vantage, unveiled recently, is set to make its debut at the FORMULA 1® STC SAUDI ARABIAN GRAND PRIX 2024. Alongside it, the DBX707 continues its role as the Official FIA Medical Car of Formula 1®.

This marks the fourth consecutive season featuring specially equipped Aston Martins in vital safety roles within Formula 1®.
Gaydon, UK – March 5, 2024: Aston Martin announces its pioneering move in the 2024 Formula 1® season with the launch of its most driver-focused Vantage ever. Engineered to lead the pinnacle of motorsport around the world’s Grand Prix™ circuits, the new Vantage is set to undertake its role as the Official FIA Safety Car of Formula 1®.
A specially equipped version of the high-performance Vantage will lead the formation lap for the upcoming FORMULA 1® STC SAUDI ARABIAN GRAND PRIX 2024, positioning itself at the exit of the pit lane, ready to intervene and control the pace of the race if necessary.
Unveiled just three weeks ago alongside its counterparts, the Vantage GT3 racer and AMR24 F1® challenger, the new Vantage embodies an authentic celebration of pure performance, reflecting Aston Martin’s dynamic history.
Marco Mattiacci, Global Chief Brand and Commercial Officer of Aston Martin, expressed pride in the brand’s association with the prestigious FIA Formula One World Championship™. He emphasized the natural synergies between Formula 1® and Aston Martin, noting the brand’s visibility through both the Aston Martin Aramco Formula One® Team and its performance models, including the Vantage and the award-winning DBX707.
Powered by a potent hand-built 4.0 Twin-Turbo V8 engine, the new Vantage boasts a 30% increase in power over its predecessor, ensuring swift performance on the track. Its suitability as an FIA Safety Car required no additional modifications, as it was meticulously crafted for this role.
Bernd Mayländer, FIA Safety Car Driver, praised the new Vantage for its handling and power, essential for swift and safe responses during on-track deployment. He expressed enthusiasm for experiencing its full performance potential on the world’s greatest circuits.
The Vantage Safety Car underwent rigorous enhancements to fulfill its role, including modified underfloor aerodynamics, an extended front splitter, and a new rear wing for added downforce. Inside, the vehicle features Pole Position Seats for driver and passenger, along with specialized switchgear and screens displaying vital race information.
