La Petite Ferme – Franschhoek’s renowned luxurious Cape Winelands boutique hotel
La Petite Ferme, a luxurious Cape Winelands boutique hotel and wine estate, has introduced its newly revitalized manor house suites. This captivating addition harmoniously complements the existing popular vineyard suites, propelling the esteemed property to unprecedented heights.
A comprehensive four-month renovation endeavor completely transformed the four suites within the estate’s historic manor house, nestled on the Franschhoek Mountain, alongside the addition of a fifth suite.
Riaan Kruger, the managing partner of The Nest Collection, to which La Petite Ferme belongs, affirms, “These changes have been long-awaited. We are genuinely thrilled about the outcomes and eagerly anticipate sharing them with our cherished guests.”
Once celebrated for its Cape Vernacular charm in appearance and ambiance, the manor house now boasts a markedly contemporary and upscale interior, while preserving its original allure. Simultaneously, the exterior underwent a complete makeover, maintaining the property’s inherent style and charm. Verandas have been renewed, the pool expanded, and the landscape revitalized – all designed to enhance the allure of opulent al fresco luxury amidst the backdrop of majestic mountains and vineyards.
Kruger underscores La Petite Ferme’s status as a favored Franschhoek destination, owing to its stellar track record of guest experiences, idyllic location, and breathtaking vistas. The decision to revamp the manor suites stems from the desire to offer guests the same level of luxury and distinction found in the vineyard suites. “Staying pertinent, evolving with prevailing trends, and responding to our guests’ preferences is paramount to us,” he emphasizes.
The renovation process was exhaustive. “The suites were essentially gutted during the renovations, providing a blank canvas for the new vision. Significant changes were implemented, including the installation of modern, pristine white ceilings, substitution of traditional window frames and doors with contemporary aluminum ones, flooring revamp, and introduction of state-of-the-art air-conditioning,” explains Kruger.
The manor house suites’ bathrooms underwent a complete metamorphosis, now adorned with upscale, top-tier fixtures and fittings.
A distinguishing feature of each suite is the unique thematic accent wall, paying homage to inspirational individuals who have left their mark on La Petite Ferme’s owner. These suites, each appointed with distinct decor reflecting different regions of the world, bear names such as John & Carol, Foufi, Helene, Andre, and Sryani.
Every suite opens onto a private terrace, many of which have been rejuvenated and equipped with built-in daybeds and secluded sun lounge nooks, inviting relaxation while soaking in panoramic vistas. The communal pool has also been expanded, resurfaced, and modernized to capitalize on the captivating surroundings.
The creation of the new manor house suites was a meticulous process, with individualized selections and customizations spanning renovations, decor, and finishing touches. Collaborative efforts between the Interior Decorator and the hotel owner yielded the designs for these suites, each meticulously curated to harmonize with the overall ambiance. Kruger adds, “All Manor Suites offer luxuries and carefully considered conveniences, including underfloor heating in bathrooms, heated towel rails, Wi-Fi, smart televisions, under-roof terraces, and air-conditioning.”
Beyond accommodations, La Petite Ferme boasts a stellar reputation for crafting world-class, artisanal wines and is home to an award-winning restaurant. Conveniently situated a brief three-minute drive from the village of Franschhoek, La Petite Ferme beckons as the quintessential retreat for both summer and winter escapes, enveloped in luxury and charm.
