Maserati Hosts an Exclusive Soirée with David Beckham and Hiroshi Fujiwara to Celebrate the Launch of GranTurismo
Maserati celebrated the launch of its new GranTurismo with an exclusive soirée, which took place on April 20th, 2023, in Milan. The event was attended by a host of notable personalities from the world of fashion, showbiz, sport, and music, including global brand ambassador David Beckham and Japanese designer Hiroshi Fujiwara.
The soirée also served as the launch of Maserati’s GranTurismo Launch Edition PrimaSerie 75th Anniversary, along with three unique versions – GranTurismo One Off Prisma, GranTurismo One Off Luce, and GranTurismo One Off Ouroboros – that are set to turn heads on the roads.
GranTurismo One Off Prisma: An Ode to the Past
The GranTurismo One Off Prisma is a masterpiece that pays homage to the past, equipped with the Nettuno V6 internal combustion engine, and adorned with a chromatic partnership of 14 different colors – all painted by hand. The bodywork is embellished with details of more than 8,500 letters hand-applied and hand-varnished one by one, making up the names of Maserati cars. Two of the colors are futuristic, while the other twelve are selected from the hues of the most popular GranTurismo models of the past.
GranTurismo One Off Luce: A Statement of Sustainability
The GranTurismo One Off Luce is a full-electric version, boasting a full-electric Folgore engine that embodies Maserati’s experimentation and constant research. The car features a unique chromatic mirrored monolith that blends into its surroundings, engraved with a dynamic laser-etched pattern. The interiors are made of ECONYL® – a regenerated nylon yarn – resulting in a unique aesthetic metamorphosis. The monochromatic blue interior reminds of the sea, from which the sustainable material is derived.
GranTurismo One Off Ouroboros: A Virtual Fuoriserie GranTurismo
The GranTurismo One Off Ouroboros is a virtual Fuoriserie GranTurismo designed by street culture innovator Hiroshi Fujiwara, inspired by the ‘Ouroboros’, a gnostic symbol that expresses the unity of all things. Fujiwara conceived a one-of-a-kind car seamlessly blending distinctive design elements from a curated selection of Maserati from the past. The car features the front grill from the A6GCS Berlinetta Pininfarina and the side vents of the 3500 GT, along with the covered round headlights that characterized the 1960s racers such as the Maserati Tipo 151.
Exclusive Capsule Collection
During the soirée, Hiroshi Fujiwara gave a special preview of the exclusive capsule collection inspired by a luxury road trip aboard the Maserati GranTurismo, featuring a new logo designed like a car club, combining the heritage and modernity of the brand.
In conclusion, Maserati has introduced a stunning new GranTurismo along with three unique versions that are set to turn heads on the road. The soirée was a celebration of Maserati’s iconic 75-year heritage, and it was an honor to have personalities like David Beckham and Hiroshi Fujiwara in attendance.
